Healthcare Homes has acquired Haughgate House Nursing Home in Haugh Lane, Woodbridge.

Haughgate House, which provides nursing care for up to 31 older people, was acquired from Marion and Mark Carter.

Gordon Cochrane, Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Homes Group, said: “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of Haughgate House Nursing Home as it really has an excellent reputation in the local area for delivering high quality nursing care, in a lovely setting.

“We look forward to working with the existing team to continue delivering a quality service to people from across the Woodbridge area.”

The facility, which is rated Good by the CQC, brings the number of Healthcare Homes’ services across the eastern and southern counties to 36.

Helen Gidlow, Chief Operating Officer of Healthcare Homes, added: “Working as part of a larger group will provide many benefits to Haughgate House’s residents and staff, yet we would also like to provide assurances that the care they receive will remain steady and consistent.

“Everyone at the home would also like to extend their thanks and best wishes to Marion and Mark Carter for their future endeavours.”
